In this campaign, you will fly 40 missions as a German Luftwaffe fleiger sent to the Legion Condor in Spain, beginning in 1936 and ending in 1939. You will fly the Heinkel He51 until your unit’s conversion to the Messerschmitt Bf109 in August of 1937. You will be flying several 109 versions; the Bf109B, D, and E models.
This first version is the “Legion Condor Full Version” of the campaign which requires Xavier's SCW Airfields 1.0. in order to work. Xavier’s airfields are a great work, which adds much to the immersion of the campaign. They do require quite a few additional scenery files in order to work, so the installation is a project in itself – well worth it though.
The second version is the “Legion Condor Lite Version” which is contains it's own airfields files using the stock CFS2 terrain mesh. If you have limited hard drive space or a slow internet connection, you may not want to have to download the many zips required to install Xavier’s SCW Airfields 1.0. This version is also fully compatible with the “Defense of the Republic” revised campaign installation.
Thanks go to Take53084 for doing the Beta testing and German language text revisions, and to Xavierb for his great scenery files.
And of course, to all of the CFS2 contributors whose freeware planes, vehicles, and effects contributions that make this campaign possible.

I hope you will enjoy it.

uploaded a Lockheed Orion for CFS2 It was extensively reworked from a FS2000 original by Tom Schaad. Hope you all like it. I think it is neat how this airplane, when introduced in 1931 could outrun any fighter plane then in production. It is also equally amazing that nearly six years later in 1937 there were very few aircraft that could run with it, let alone catch it (the early Bf109 comes to mind). This amazing aircraft was designed by none other than Gerard Vultee who later left Lockheed to form his own company. The Vultee V-1 could be seen as a logical extension of the single engine transport concept. The reason why we see so many single engine airliners such as the Orion, Vega, and V-1 over Spain is that in 1934 the American Civil Aviation Authority passed a ruling that all airliners must have two engines and at least a crew of two. Airlines ended up either converting their single engine aircraft to carry mail or cargo or simply sold them off.
Actually is downloadable into Republican aircraft section
So it should be available sometime soon. It is a historical 40 mission campaign running from the beginning of German involvement in Spain in 1936 until the last victory scored by the Legion Condor in 1939. The player will participate as a German Luftwaffe pilot who has been sent to Spain to fly with the Legion Condor. You will fly the Heinkel He51 until your unit begins to convert to the Messerschmitt Bf109 in August of 1937, and then fly the Bf109B, D, and E models.
Hopefully there will be some interest in the campaign,
Cheers
Captain Kurt

this is a comment i have seen today and moved into news...seems many people back at this website and working on new aircrafts...(i should too as in past...but i do not have time actually )..here the drzook comments and news:
"Hi there,
I was pretty excited when I came across this site. I had always been a fan of aircraft from this time period. The Spanish Civil War was a turning point in military aircraft development. It started with biplanes and sesquiplanes that could barely crack 160 mph and ended with sleek monoplane fighters that could easily do over twice that. It was a time when people of many nations came together to fight for what they felt was right, be it socialist or nationalist. It was a testing ground for some of the most technical aircraft built at that time, while it was also the last gasp of certain aircraft types far past obsolescence. My current project is working on the .air file for the Dewoitine 371 and 372. I got most of the flight parameters down but it still has a nasty tendency to putt down the runway on startup. I am also working on a FS2002 to CFS2 conversion of a Loire 46 fighter (the original .air file was from a Nordyn Norseman--lot of work involved getting this one right). Anyways it's nice to know there are others out there like me. :)
PS-I'm not that great a pilot--I prefer to tinker with the airplanes more than flying; although there is a certain joy in blowing the wings off a Chirri with a NiD-52..."
